Cape approves subdivision at town center project - Press Herald

Plans for a village-style subdivision are moving forward as phase one of a proposal to build a town-centered project received Planning Board and Town Council approval.

“Dentist David Jacobson is proposing Ocean House Common, a four-lot subdivision that would include a town green on a 4-acre lot at 326 Ocean House Road, next to Town Hall.

“The developers of a renovated apartment building at 645 Congress St. in Portland held a ‘grand opening’ Monday for city officials and community leaders.

“Built in 1895 as a hotel, the building also has served as a dormitory for the University of Southern Maine and Maine College of Art.
